Close and easy for Zurich airport

Needed to be in Zurich ahead of a flight and elected to stay near the airport - hotel and in room ammenities not bad - the place is looking a little tired (wall paper in the rooms is in need of replacement) - staff great and shuttle service to the airport a winner

Terrible Experience - Do not trust their wake-up service

We had a terrible experience at Movenpick Zurich Airport. While checkin was seamless and professional and the shuttle service to/from the airport super convenient, the room was ordinary. We arrived tired after 10pm and had a 7:45am flight to Paris on the next morning. We requested a wake-up call at 5:45am. When I woke up and looked up my watch, it was 6:40am! We jumped out of bed and ran to checkout and catch the next airport shuttle scheduled at 7am. The latest time to check in luggage is an hour before the flight so at 6:45am and we were flying internationally with 2 stopovers! When we complained, the manager said he tried to call us 9 times. Well, our phone never rang so I told him that he could have come and knock at our door. He said ‘no, I can’t leave my desk’ with no apology and no empathy whatsoever. The tone he was speaking in was as if it was our fault that their phone was not working. The shuttle arrived a bit late and we arrived at the airport at 7:15am. Our big luck was: we checked in our luggage the evening before and already had our boarding passes so we made the flight, in extremis.

It is a shame to Swiss Hospitality

Chosen this hotel as it is near to the airport and they have just resumed the airport shuttle service which is a plus point. However, when I arrive the hotel in the morning after a long 13 hours flight from Singapore, the room was not ready which is kind of understandable. After a long wait until 2pm, my room was not ready yet, and only at 3.30pm I got my room key. To my horror, the room was filthy. It was not cleaned, soiled cups everywhere and the trash bin was not cleared, and chocolate crumbs on my bed. It was disgusting. Immediately I went down to the reception to ask for another room, and instead of higher floor, I was assigned a ground floor. The front desk (I believed she is the supervisor), she was very rude. It is a shame to the Swiss Hospitality. Avoid this hotel at all cost.

Stay away...

I have no idea who can rate this place for more than one star... Beds are old and uncomfortable, gym is disaster and equipment is old and used (and dangerous to use), rooms are not cleaned.m, wi-fi is barely working and so on. Stay away from this place.

Pretty bad

The problems began with glacial checkin. Waiting for our room to be ready we found that most of the chairs were broken. Told our room was ready we went up to find it wasn’t, so back to the lobby. In the room we found it dark with limited storage space. The worst thing was the mattress which was like granite. We arrived jet lagged so we went to the hotel restaurant for dinner. The menu was printed by a laser printer running out on toner and the choices we so unappetizing we walked out. The breakfast was actually pretty good. Upon our return to the hotel the second night we found our room again was not cleaned. We settled for new towels. The outlet situation was good but the Wi-Fi was dreadfully slow. Do you get the sense we were unsatisfied?
