Mövenpick Cebu

When I pick a hotel, it has to be perfect because I prefer to stay in and enjoy all its amenities. Imagine staying in a hotel, even a single flaw like old towels will drive you crazy! This summer, I chose Movenpick. Thank heavens! It was perfect, from check-in to check-out. Front desk manager Jerry has got to be the most charming I've met. He also entertained my request to see the new rooms which gave me a better appreciation of the tremendous amount of work done on the refreshed and renovated rooms. Getting a massage at Spa del Mar, c/o masseuse Leah on the first night was a superb decision: I was relaxed and ready for swimming the next day! I also tried their Steam Room before the massage. Incredible exhilarating feeling, as if I went jogging without all the effort. Lunch at The Forum was wonderful, this slow and sumptuous opportunity to just enjoy the food, the view and the breeze. Movenpick interior and architecture must be intelligently designed because despite the unusually scorching heat this summer, the breeze goes through the lobby and other spaces in the building, cooling everything down. The newly refurbished hi-tech gym was incredible, made me wish I worked out! The beach was marvelous, and the pool had various depths which made me very comfortable. I chatted to the lifeguard on duty, the pool and Forum staff, all very friendly wonderful people. Concierge were cheerful, pleasant and very efficient. Gab, Raymond, Uneson, Lester were some of the memorable Movenpick team members. My premier room had balcony with table and chair (lovely!) and a tub (oh only the older classic hotels still have tubs you know) which delighted me so much. The bed was perfectly firm and comfortable, pillows huge and fluffy, the room temp and humidity was the best I've experienced in any hotel so far: my skin, throat and nose didn't dry out, although my swimsuit hanging in the bath was completely dry just overnight. Towels were truly clean, great quality they absorbed water so well it was not much effort to dry off my waist-length hair. Water pressure was strong, and the hot water consistent. Shampoo, lotion, shower gel etc. were of very good quality, no complaint from my skin and hair! What a relief to get all these simple things right, it really makes such a big difference. Chocolate Hour treats paired with coffee was fun and sweet, lunch and dinner were superb, large portions, so satisfying, beautiful plating. Balearic-inspired 12-course dinner was just incredible. I can stay for weeks in Movenpick to try everything out in the menu! The breakfast buffet satisfied all my expectations - fantasic choices from continental to regional Asian. Every single dish in the buffet was meticulously prepared. Chef Eric Soong was always present to see how guest reception was with the food, took time to converse with guests, and I certainly learned a lot from him about coffee appreciation. Thank you so much, Eric! Now because our boat departs Sunday with the Ironman event blocking the roads, Movenpick team arranged for our transfer --- seamless hassle-free - from the hotel to Punta Engano port to Marina Wharf in Pusok. Then they took care of the Grab car booking. And, turns out my amazing experience with Movenpick didn't just end there. I was already in Pier 1 when I realised I left my hand bag in the Grab car! And the boat leaves in less than an hour! I thought I was gonna have a nervous breakdown! But after contacting Movenpick, they sorted everything out, tracked and contacted the Grab car driver ---- and I got my bag back from the driver in time. When the driver showed up at the Pier I thought he had the face of an angel. My nervous thankful heart goes to Paulo, Movenpick guest experience manager on duty that day, and to Simon Chew, general manager. And turns out the Cebu Grab driver is an honest fellow, Percival Perez, who returned an iPhone 13 from a foreign guest last week. And of course I gave him a reward for such honesty! God bless such good people! So am I going back to Movenpick? You bet. :)

Spacious and clean room, great service from all staff and crew especially Gab, Raymond and Mark assigned at The Forum and Josh at The Sails. Had a great time at the pool bonding with friends. Delicious and sumptous foods served with Executive Chef Eric Soong at the helm, who always took time to mingle during breakfast and dinner to ask our feedback on the food.

Gracious staff specially Gab, Raymond Mark, Front Desk & the entire crew of the Breakfast Buffet. Chef Eric was a gem! The GM came out of his way to talk to us. The rooms were impeccable and bathroom supplies were limitless. The entire stay was fun, relaxed & filled with wonderful food & beverage! Thank you, Movenpick Hotel for a blissful stay. We shall be back soon.

Housekeeping Irene Villarin thank you for keeping our room tidy & clean. The most fluffy pillows experience. Sumptuous food at sails by executive chef. & well accommodate by the staff. Noticed that all the staff regardless of title were all respectful, well discipline, & true to their work assigned. Safety measures is observed. The humble, kind, generous, Movenpick President Atty Jong Sepulveda your the best.

The staff and crew, the guards are very polite and efficient from my first day stay until i checked out from the hotel. The housekeeping did a good job. The room is cozy. The food is very delicious.The crew who serve us Raymund , Mark and Gab did a good in attending to our needs. I also met some kababayans who took care of me during my stay in the hotel.
