Akmerkez in Etiler, one of the city's most fashionable and central locations, has a modern outlook with its architectural and management concepts. Grand Bazaar

The Grand Bazaar is one of the largest covered markets in the world, comprising more than 58 streets and 4,000 shops. Welcoming between 250,000 and 400,000 visitors daily, it is well known for its jewellery, pottery, spices and carpet shops. The first construction was done between 1455 and 1461 by order of Sultan Mehmed The Conqueror. The bazaar was vastly enlarged in the 16th century during the reign of Sultan Suleiman The Magnificent and in 1894, underwent a major restoration following an earthquake.

Spice (Egyptian) Bazaar

Covering an area of 384 blocks, the Spice (Egyptian) Bazaar is the second largest and oldest covered bazaar in Istanbul. Built in 1664, the Bazaar is an “L” shaped building featuring 86 shops and is a part of the külliye of the New Mosque. Within the building, visitors can find spices, herbal teas, dried fruits, Turkish delight, Turkish coffee, as well as leather and jewellery. The Bazaar also offers restaurants with a view over the Golden Horn and Galata Bridge.

Vialand

Vialand is the first entertainment and life centre in Turkey combining a theme park, shopping avenues and a show area. Located at Eyüp, visitors can experience more than 50 attractions built on an area of 600,000 sqm including a 110 km/h fast-launched rollercoaster, a water coaster, a rapid river ride, drop tower and a dark ride.
