Mövenpick Resort Hurghada

Equal employment opportunity as a principal of sustainability in tourism and industry

Mövenpick Resort Hurghada is committed to the empowerment and training of youth with disabilities, providing them with positive employment opportunities within the tourism sector.

The project started in 2014 as a collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism, Red Sea Governorate, the International Labour Organization and Ebtessama Foundation.

The hotel recruited five persons from Ebtessama Foundation with cognitive and learning disability. Extensive training was provided in the roles that they were selected for and consistent coaching, care, and follow up continue until today. This program has enabled previously disadvantaged young people to achieve equality with their colleagues and became valuable contributors at our resort. Each year the resort will continue to partner with the foundation to select candidates for this program.

Mövenpick Resort Hurghada was honoured and rewarded for our great support and contribution from The Minister of Tourism, The Minister of Social Solidarity, The Director of The International Labour Organization (ILO), The Chairman of Board of Trustees, Social Fund for Development (Cabinet of Ministers) and Ebtessama Foundation.
