Wadi Mousa Silver Production Centre

An initiative of the Nabatean Ladies Cooperative, the Wadi Mousa Silver Production Centre has helped create work for over 700 Bedouin women in the area.

Inspired by the city’s rich history and art heritage, Beduoin women create an array of jewellery items; intricate silver necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, silver chains, pendants and more. Visit the second floor studio to see this iconic silver-work is made by hand.

Petra Pottery Association

For visitors who have fallen in love with Petra, here is an opportunity to take home more than just a souvenir – but a meaningful work of art.

Only a 20 minute drive away from Mövenpick Resort Petra, authentic Nabatean pottery is made in exactly the same way as it was back in 50 AD. The elegant works are characterised by mellow red, brown and pink clay, as well as delicate leaf and floral designs.

By reviving this ancient craft, the Taybeh Village Women’s Society enjoys an income and the fulfilment of using their creativity.

Travel: 20 minute drive from the Mövenpick Resort Petra.

Opening hours: Sunday to Thursday from 8.00 am to 2.00 pm.
