poor experience

The bathroom was not clean as I found hair on the floor and there was no toilet paper on the dispenser. I couldn't turn off the noisy fan in the bath room. The room they actually gave me has no resembles of the shiny pictures on their website. It's interior is rather dated and really needs a full refurbishment. The hotels website attracts you with a competitive price but as soon as you are engaged to book a room they confront you with about 10% surcharge to park your car outside on their parking lot. You would expect this would come at no surcharge at all. Once I had a meal in their restaurant I ordered a beer and got it served in a glass with a sharp chipped off edge.

Movenpick humiliation

On a tour with Leger Travel. No food on arrival, made to sit in a "fenced off" area of the restaurant. Meals could only be ordered via the tour driver, from a very restricted menu. Reception refused to provide a menu, again stating that I must contact the driver to see one. Waiter explained that the window seating was for normal clients. Very humiliating experience. Hotel is built on the side of an old gravel pit, in an industrial area.

Lovely rest stop

We stayed as part of a Sherings tour. We were supposed to have a 3 night stay here but thanks to the dover crossing it ended up 2 nights. When we arrived it was all well organised and we immediately got ourselves booked in for something to eat. They have limited kitchen staff on so you have to get in quick. Unfortunately there is nothing else within walking distance to go get something to eat. I ordered a burger and it was delicious! The staff in the restaurant and bar were lovely! Friendly and attentive and after enduring awful travelling it was a much needed welcome relief. The reception staff were nice too and nothing was too much. Breakfast was also very good! Unfortunately the tour company we chose was a disaster so we didn’t get to have many meals or stay long due to their poor time management. Thankfully the hotel was there to at least say something positive about the trip. Thank you to all the staff for doing the best they could with an extremely tired and rushed your group!

Fautless stay

I would give the place 5 stars as the service and staff were generally top quality. However, on the first night when I arrived I was mistakenly only charged one night's city tax instead of two, so I had to pay again when I checked out. The staff member was clearly inexperienced. The bar service was a bit slow as they only had 2 staff on to cover both the bar and restaurant. The decor was better than I expected for modern hotel in a business park. The breakfast had a very good choice for the buffet including hot choices like omelette. Again I've dropped a star for being a bit short of bowls and other utensils, there was a large tour group having breakfast to be fair...

COULD BE SO MUCH BETTER

Stayed here as part of a LEGER tour. The hotel itself was nice enough - modern, clean and roomy. However, we had great problems with the restaurant - it was supposed to close at 10 pm - we arrived day one with forty minutes to spare - we were told that it was already closed and all they had were bar snacks. Every day we had problems booking a table for an a la carte meal. The staff said they were short staffed in the kitchen but that is no excuse in this day and age. Food was OK when you could get it - nouveau cuisine (small portions.). The hotel is on a business park and if you wanted to go into town you had to hire a cab. Bar was OK - barman was very good. I got the impression that the hotel was empty which might explain a small brigade in the kitchen.
