Mövenpick Hotel Lalez Durres

It’s a Movenpick Hotel, so the standard of guest experience is higher than you will find at most other (all) hotels in Durrës. While located off the beaten path, I find it an oasis. The hotel grounds are clean, the room was immaculate, and most services you expect are available and more than adequate. They provide limited spa services. Massage was priced right and very good. The steam room is lacking, and the sauna smaller than I hoped for, given the size of the hotel. They do have a gym and provide treadmill, free weights, bench, row machine, and more. Breakfast was provided in my reservation. Breakfast includes a wide variety of very good offerings. There was a UN event while we stayed there, and the facility was large enough to accommodate the business people as well as the families. While there is not a pool on the grounds, the beach is about a 7 minute walk from the main building. The beach is comfortable with ample lounge chairs and umbrellas. There was limited food and beverage options on the beach while we stayed there. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and had all the necessary amenities for business and non-business travelers. Each room has its own secured WiFi passcode. I reserve a suite with a balcony. The room layout was spacious and well designed. There was ample space for our three suitcases. The bathroom was huge, about as big s as a NYC apartment ;-) I definitely recommend this hotel and I absolutely will be back. Safe travels to you all.

Very good new 5* hotel, with excellent fine and dine service in their restaurant. We celebrate my birthday in this hotel and we really enjoy this place. Nice winter spa centar, good restaurant and lobby bar. Huge rooms with good view. This place is so romantic so you can enjoy your stay if you are couple. They need to improve kid animation!

It was a wonderful experience to stay in this hotel. It’s really amazing! One of the best I ever stayed. So cosy, comfy and quiet. Thanks to the staff and, of course, General Manager (Man as my son called him :)) the atmosphere of the Movenpick hotel so friendly as you are home. Soundproofing is superb! Beds are very comfortable. We slept so well there. And even swallows, whose nest we had on our balcony, did not disturb us. It was soooo interesting to watch them every day! Rooms are very tidy and everyday-cleaning is super. Bath was very spacious and clean 👍 It’s a pity I haven’t visit the spa :( hope next time will do it ;) Hotel’s restaurant is the best you can find around. And the prices are 👌 waiters speak English, they are very helpful and professional.

It is by far the cheapest stay i’ve had at a Mövenpick hotel ever. In comparison to the rest of the resorts In the area, it was much better. One thing that really dragged the place down was the pool area, which they have in some sort of collaboration with a third party. It is actually a very nice pool but the day before our arrival, there had been a wedding and there was trash, cake and most alarming - pieces of glass - next to the edge of the pool. When guests approached the crew about this, they seemed like they couldn’t care less. Problem was only properly adressed, when we took the issue to the hotel. They should really find another way to run the pool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is extremely clean and and sits in a beatiful countryside location, handy for the beach and sea swimming. However, the real selling point for the hotel is its staff. The General Manager, Zoran, is a true gentleman who went the extra mile to ensure our stay was memorable and thoroughly enjoyable. He was extremely friendly throughout and obviously has vast experience in hotel hospitality. We stayed at the hotel because it was hosting a wedding for our friends. And, despite the additional demands of around 200 wedding guests, the service throughout was excellent. Wonderful memories of a great wedding and wonderful memories of Albania now we are back in London - thank you so much Zoran, and all the hotel staff.
