Enjoyed our stay and had a great time. Staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to please us despite the hotel being full and very busy. Rachida and Awatef took great care of us and our room and went the extra mile to help us celebrate our anniversary. Food can be improved as breakfast and the poolside snacks were better during our earlier visits. The Japanese tepenyaki was as usual very good. Thank you for a lovely stay!
1st night of a 3-nights stay at Movenpick Sousse at USD 220 per night. I'd like to clarify that this review is not against the employees at Movenpick Sousse hotel who are trying to help as much as they can. It is more about sharing facts and suggestions so that the upper management of Movenpick takes actions to fix the below issues that are definitely not expected from a 5-star hotel 1. Incorrect and misleading information about complimentary transportation from airport to hotel: The hotel claim to offer a complimentary (FREE) transportation from airport to hotel turned to be incorrect and misleading. The hotel offered us instead a round trip transportation at USD 150 between Tunis Carthage airport and Movenpick Sousse. Suggestion: Update the website web page content by removing the mention of complimentary transportation. 2. Unnecessary and long re-checkin despite confirmation of online checkin: I checked online on time and got email confirmation. I was instructed to simply present my registration number to get room key at the hotel lobby. Instead, I waited for 45 minutes with my wife and kids. We had checkin in person for the two rooms again!! Suggestion: Fix your online checkin process if broken or train/retrain your employees to access related checkin information online if your online check is not broken. 3. One of the rooms supposed to be a partial sea view one is facing a trash dump! The room is USD 220 per night! This is a health related issue! We don't know what type of mosquito bite we can get if we dare getting out in the balcony. Please see attached picture. Many requests to different layers of management to change our room were unsuccessful. Reason given: All 608 hotel rooms are taken despite seeing many people still checking in!! Suggestion: Work with authorities to remove the trash dump and clean the area. Until, then better make the room unavailable
Good experience at this place Here for the 10 th time , this tells you something I only come here due the staff who have been here for years they know how to make you feel at home Big 5 stars to the chef Fehmi for his excellent food m Love the lobster and the fresh seafood he prepares daily . 5 stars to the security staff especially Maher 5 stars to the room cleaning services Hazard , she’s always looking after us and doing an excellent job keeping our rooms spotless daily . A hotel worth recommending. The downside is the outdated photos - the large bar between the hotel and the beach is decommissioned and there is no trace of it. Being on the beach, you have to go to the hotel bar, which makes it much more difficult to relax. The second and definitely the biggest minus is the pool service. At 8 o'clock there are no more sun loungers. Guests after one day of stay already know that in order to "get" a deckchair, you have to book it max at 7 am. The beach service, which shows up around 7:30, takes all the free sunbeds with towels, empty suntan lotions and beach toys left by guests who have already left. As I was already lying on a deckchair, the employee brazenly tried to take some of my newspapers because he said that I don't read all of them at the same time. Then the beach service catches with its corrupt eyes guests who are looking for sunbeds and if someone gives a tip, an obliging employee finds and provides previously reserved sunbeds. I reported this to the reception desk, I also sent an email and during my stay, unfortunately, nothing has changed, so apparently the hotel accepts this practice. Advantages: Proximity to the center, excellent cuisine, cleanliness. Cons: No beach bar and a definite minus for pool service who reserve sunbeds and provide them for bribes. These workers are definitely for replacement !!!
