Stayed here before a river cruise-everything was above expectations~had a suite 1/2 up and enjoyed the views and service. There was a personalized welcome message on the TV screen (nice touch) and the bathroom was enormous. Very eco-friendly amenities (as a chain) Shower and bath faucets took a bit to operate. Ate dinner in the restaurant and rate included a generous breakfast. If returning to Amsterdam, we will stay here. Central location and convenient to cruise embarkation.
We were very happy with our stay. Nothing to complain about. All staff were very friendly from start to finish. Good breakfast with plenty of choices. Our room was quite spacious and enough storage for a short stay. We also enjoyed our experience in the bar although we were disappointed that it closed at 22:00 during the week but 23:00 at the weekend. It is about a 20 minute walk into the centre but that didn’t bother us as we like to walk. I would definitely stay there again.
Hotel was nice and clean - good location but the deposit required at the start of your holiday is absurd. No place on the BA website did it mention this required deposit luckily I read the reviews on here before coming. To make matters worse we needed to use a credit card to make the deposit when I mentioned I have only got my debit card on me, I was required to make 100 euro per day deposit - which is just ridiculous! They hide behind it is standard practice however I have never done this before and will go elsewhere next year when I come back.
Really disappointing. There was a long queue at checking and no apologies when checking in. Room was tired and in need of maintenance. View of train station (noting like the pictures). TV, AC and fridge didn’t work properly and shower had really bad pressure.
Everything was perfect It was our first time in Amsterdam and we were off to a great start staying at the Movenpick Hotel from September 18-22, 2022 (5 nights). From start to end, everything was perfect. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable as were the bed linens and pillows. The bathroom, everything was perfect there as well. The morning buffet restaurant was amazing and plenty of variety, hard to believe someone would complain about anything here. We had dinner at the restaurant two times during our stay, the service was top notch, the food was very good as was the wine. We enjoyed everything, the room, the hotel, the food and the service. We also enjoyed the location, no more then a 10 min walk or less, by the water, to the train station and add a few minutes more and your right there in centre town. I’m so glad we stayed here.
