Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Towers

Building Management System (BMS)

Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Lakes Tower has been in the forefront in taking steps towards the green initiative through the use of the Building Management System (BMS) to control and monitor all the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems to save energy consumption. The installations of the new ecology exhaust system for urban bar & kitchen to promote a safety environment and to wipe out smoke and smell is located in the basement area.

The hotel monitors its utilities on a daily basis as well as monthly energy comparisons in order to reduce the energy consumption and implementation by utilizing renewable energy sources.  An energy committee has been formed and has introduced a sustainability and energy monitoring throughout the hotel. This ensures that ongoing environmental performance, identification of environmental risks; recording and monitoring of impacts and implementing environmental and social sustainability measures are all in order.

Effective waste management by sorting, distributing and recycling via eco-friendly collection agencies is also a priority for the hotel.  About 24.74% of energy consumption has been saved since January 2014 through the optimizer reports and 52 tons of CO2 emission has been saved from last year.
