The award is part of the World Luxury Hotel Awards, a global organisation that annually recognises hotels for their world-class facilities and excellent service. The winners and finalists are selected by thousands of spa guests from 144 countries in an online voting process.
“We’re very proud that our spa has been gaining a great deal of international attention over the past few years,” said Beat Peter, General Manager of Mövenpick Resort & Spa Tala Bay. Besides picking up the title of finalist in last year’s awards, the Spa was also recommended by the Condé Nast Johansens Award.
Peter added that “winning is an honour, but also a great responsibility for our entire team to live up to the reputation, exceed expectations and always find innovative means to meet our guests’ needs”.
In addition to offering an extensive menu of treatments combining traditional and modern techniques, Zara Spa Tala Bay is the first in Jordan to offer experiences such as the ‘Ice Fountain’ that stimulates circulation and tightens the skin as well as ‘Experience Showers’ that completely revitalise the body through the inventive use of light and fragrance.
The spa covers 1,200 square metres and features 11 different types of treatment rooms. Facilities include a sky-light hydro pool, honeymoon suite, a relaxing sauna, skin-enhancing steam rooms, natural products shop, beauty salon, nail studio and relaxing tranquillity areas.
