Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach is the ‘Talk’ on ‘The Walk’ after winning over judges at the prestigious BBC Good Food Middle East Awards 2014.
Dubai (United Arab Emirates), 2 February 2015. A soulful al fresco setting, live jazz and a superior spread for foodies who love variety, proved more than enough to charm judges at the 2014 BBC Good Food Middle East Awards. The annual award ceremony crowned Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach’s ‘Talk & Soul Brunch’ as the winner in the ‘Best Brunch’ category.
The BBC Good Food Middle East Awards are decided by consumer nominations and votes. In the second round of voting, the Talk & Soul Brunch was included in the top ten, before being shortlisted as one of the top four nominees. The Best Brunch was selected by the judging panel of BBC Good Food Middle East, a leading food and culinary publication in the region.
Talking about the hard work behind the Middle East’s best brunch, an elated Horst Walther-Jones, General Manager of Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach, paid compliments to his team. “To be named the cream of the crop is a fantastic achievement and come as a result of the dedication and hard work by the teams in both Talk and Soul restaurants. A big thank you too to our loyal visitors who create the buzz and wonderful atmosphere.” Walther-Jones accepted the award with his team at the award ceremony.
Two hotel restaurants, Soul and Talk, present the international brunch together. Guests can opt for the family-oriented atmosphere and kids’ corner in Talk, or the intimate setting of Soul with its indoor and al fresco seating. A jazz singer and saxophonist entertain guests as they enjoy their selections from the culinary feast every Friday from 12.30 pm to 4.00 pm.
