Located on a hill in the old town, the Lausanne Cathedral is a major gothic monument in Europe.
Built in the 10th century, this monument has been consecrated by both emperors and Pope Gregory X. It is open on a daily basis except during Christmas and New Year. Guided tours are free from 1 July to 20 September. Situated in the old city of Lausanne, the cathedral’s sculptures, paintings and stained glass windows are not to be missed.
