Excellent place to stay for your Hanoi visit if you are looking for comfort and excellent service. This newly renovated hotel under the Movenpick name has the same mark of Movenpick excellence we have come to expect as we have stayed at several of their locations in Europe. Staff is top-notch from the front door to the dining room. We really appreciate the excellent service at the dining room for breakfast as it starts our day off on a high note. I will give a bit of criticism but this is a big complaint of mine across many hotels I have stayed at: lighting/plugs. Imagine a couple getting ready. While the gentleman is drying his hair, where would the lady do her makeup and curl her hair? There is a full length mirror in the hall but the tiny spotlight above cast shadows so it is not suitable for putting on makeup. Even in the bathroom, focused lighting above the mirror is also not proper lighting for putting on makeup. And as for the outlets, why is there never one by the full length mirror?? Or even 2 in the bathroom?
Overall gave it a 4 but this is down to the staff and public areas. If it was just the room it would be a 3 as not the quality you’d expect especially the bathroom. Our level (9) seemed to have humidifiers outside every room in the corridor and there was a damp smell. We assume it was down to no windows or extraction in the small bathrooms which had swing doors from the bedroom. Good choice for breakfast and had various meals in all the restaurants/bars which were very good. Chocolate hour also a nice touch. Not far from the ‘Hanoi Hilton’ house which is definitely worth visiting. Went quite early before the tours arrived.
Ms.Hoa, her warm smile and exceptional drink-making skills at Movenpick Hanoi's lobby lounge truly brighten my day. The cocktails were of exceptional quality and expertly crafted by her. One of the highlights of my visit was when she offered me some local spirits to try. It was definitely worth trying!
Just one of the first guests to stay here after a long renovation. The location was really good, close to the Hanoi train station. Convenient for someone who wants to travel to/from Sapa via a train. Surrounding also beautiful and classy. Interior also nice decorai with so many beautiful photogenic spots. As a Accor platinum member, I got an upgrade to the executive room. The room was nice, elegant and spacious. The bed and linens were soft and silky smooth. The bathroom was equipped with a rain shower and a bathtub. The breakfast had a variety of choices with a good quality. Due to staying on the first operation day, something may not be perfectly functional, but they solved it well and fast. The best thing here was services, every staff member here was willing to aid you in any kind of thing. Should be one of your choices to stay in Hanoi.
Absolutely the worst start to any holiday. The hotel was shut and the staff didn't inform us or the party that we booked through. It was in a fantastic location and was reasonably priced. We spent two days of our precious holiday looking for a similar hotel and couldn't find it. Their lack of professionalism ruined the start to a holiday that we had waited two years to take.
