Pros: The resort's surroundings are lush with greenery and trees, creating a relaxing ambiance. The expansive swimming pool is conveniently located near the restaurants. The beach, accessible to only a limited number of tourists due to its remote location on the island, offers a serene and exclusive experience. The majority of the staff members were friendly, often greeting us with warm smiles, which contributed to a welcoming atmosphere. Notable mentions include Cid from the restaurant, who was exceptionally accommodating and attentive to our needs, and Joy from the spa. Cons: Unfortunately, the building and rooms are noticeably outdated and in poor condition. Safety concerns arose from the deteriorating state of the elevator in our building, prompting us to opt for the stairs instead. Since a friend of us was also staying at the resort, we requested for our rooms to be next to each other. Unfortunately, we were informed by the reservation that our rooms were located on separate buildings. However, they did offer an alternative, which was good, but we opted to just stay in our originally booked rooms. The hotel's policy of providing bathroom amenities upon request felt unusual for a branded hotel. While some receptionists were pleasant, notable ones include Mika and Claire, who provided excellent service. And Kate, who, although pretty and polite, could have been more accommodating instead of just directing us to call the operator for assistance. Kem, thankfully, was able to assist us effectively. Overall, our stay experience at Movenpick was underwhelming as we had higher expectations considering the brand name. The only saving grace were some of the staff who treated us nicely during our stay.
To me, the best part of the hotel was probably breakfast, especially the Filipino dishes. We ate at the hotel every meal during our one week stay. The menu has a large selections of good that we don’t have to repeat the same dish too often (unless it’s our favorite). Check-in and check-out were smooth - so thank you Ish and Alrie. Things that the hotel can improve is the noise pollution at nights and vehicles pollution at days.
We have an amazing stay at MovenPick resort, Boracay. Large, well located pool, private white sand beach and spa are the main attractions. Highly recommended.
Great hotel. Very comfortable rooms. Largest and perhaps best pool on boracay. Pool 4 feet deep so everyone can enjoy. The beachfront of the hotel is the best of the 3 hotels on this private strand. Buffet breakfast fantastic. Choices for everyone and every nationality. Well manicured gardens. Compounded with a wonderful summer weather you'll have a fantastic beach holiday experience
It was my worst experience with 5 star resort. 1- my check out i ask to be at 8 am and the transportation to the airport also and paid for it with the full flight details on check in .. at the day before my check out i went to remind them that tomorrow i will check out even i have one night been paid for in advance, next day i was in front desk 7:45am and they haven’t arrange my transportation. 2- i was also slowed off because i paid the laundry cash and they didn’t sort it out the night before and i told them i paid for it in cash they took to long time to confirm it so i repaid for it again so i can leave fast after 15 min the laundry worker came to show our cash. 3- i ask for the manager no show for him . Overpriced bad service and communication between departments. The only good thing the nurses that treated me .. yes i paid for it but she was the only good thing in this resort never again.
